EMPOWERED’s Kick-off at Tre Amici

On May 16th, 2008, Tre Amici at the Bunker hosted a free wine-tasting for EMPOWERED‘s first social-networking event. It was a huge success with over 75 people dropping by to network and learn about this exciting new opportunity for young professionals in the Tampa Bay community. Amanda Muley and Courtney Congelio introduced the group, explaining that EMPOWERED will provide 20s and 30s with many levels of involvement from simply showing up to our social networking events, to getting your hands dirty in our Red Cross mission related service projects or diving right in and serving on an event planning committee. EMPOWERED hopes that people will make business and personal connections with other young professionals while learning about and supporting the mission of the American Red Cross. Overall the kick-off event was a huge success! Many thanks to all who participated in the event, thanks to Massage Envy for donating 2 free hour-long massages and to Tre Amici at the Bunker for the free wine.
